Easter Fun and Paige's Birthday

Getting together for Easter at the SAC is a family tradition we all love!! Grandma hides treats and goodies with love and we walk around with our flashlights and find them! There is usually a child or two without a shirt (aka Nash or Wyatt) and we go all out with our camp chairs and swig drinks! :)

And my sweet princess Paige turned 10 this year!!!!  Paige is getting so tall and with that size 10 shoe, she's gonna be a tall mama!!  She loves friends, singing, volleyball, and hot dogs! :)  She is my best friend and a total daddy's girl so she has the best of both worlds.  Paige brings so much happiness and joy to our family with her kind heart and is always singing wherever she goes!! We are so grateful to have this little spirit in our home! We love Paige!

Singing with Grace

Paige's voice came straight from heaven.  She literally sings and people cry it's so good.  I am amazed at how talented and beautiful she is and she is growing up before our eyes.  Paige and Grace got to sing at the same recital and it was so fun.  Grace has been Paige's best friend since they moved in across the street when these girls were in diapers.  Sisters in heart, they are both boy trapped between brothers so they just TOTALLY GET EACH OTHER.  They never fight, they never play video games... two little girls with imaginations and adventures galore.
We are so grateful for Grace.  She is amazing.

In Memory

This was not a trip to South Carolina that we wanted to take.  Our beautiful Papa Doug, Granddaddy Doug, passed away April 15, 2017.  We suffered a massive heart attack.  We mourned and will continue to mourn him greatly.  He was loved by all, a generous man, with a heart the size of the moon for his children.  He loved sports, good cooking, and especially Grandma Linda.  We remember Papa Doug as he was a devoted father and grandfather.  He loved watching Gamecock football!!!

His burial was in South Carolina with many friends and family attending.  He was well loved and respected by all.  We climbed the trees Papa Doug climbed as a child and swam in the ocean and in Lake Marion in Santee State Park.  We will miss Papa Doug and keep him in our hearts forever.
